Indigestion is a common term which is also known as dyspepsia and is used to describe few conditions like feeling of fullness during or after meal and pain in upper abdomen. Problems related to pancreas and bile ducts commonly cause indigestion. GERD or gastro esophageal reflux disease is the major cause of indigestion. Problems like peptic ulcer, cancer and other disorders related to digestive tract can also cause indigestion. The area where stomach meets small intestine may also cause indigestion due to unknown reasons. However it is believed that relaxation or squeezing of stomach muscles may cause indigestion and abdominal pain.

Sometimes after the meal an irritating feeling of fullness occurs, which is also a symptom of indigestion.
